This is a beautiful and tranquil campsite situated just east (3km) of the town of Gobabis. The camp is around 2 hours from Windhoek and an hour from the border with Botswana. As such, it is a terrific place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the Trans Kalahari Highway.
The camp is set in the splendid Kalahari Desert, surrounded by Kalahari sand and trees. This is the perfect place for the weary traveller to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Dinner and breakfast can be arranged on request and a bush bar is opening soon.
The Uakii Wilderness Campsite, in conjunction with Uakii Wilderness Safaris, also offers San/Bushmen Day Trips and longer Namibian cultural safaris to meet various communities of the Omaheke region of Namibia.
Local residents of the area are also welcome to book the entire camp for functions such as weddings & birthday parties.
Uakki Wilderness Campsite offers unique cultural activities and is perfect for self drive visitors to Namibia, overland trucks and large groups.

For the camping enthusiast campsites with shared ablution facilities and a braai area are available. Hot water is supplied with a wood-fired geyser, locally called a donkey. And the ablution facilities have running water and flushing toilets.
